A glass of water lets out all your digestive juices and lubricates the insides of your body. Water occupies space in your body and you feel fuller without having to. And it has no calories!

Control Your Sugar Intake: Cutting down your soft drink/soda intakes that are sweetened with sugar. Sugar has calories. The more you cut down on sugar the more you cut down on calories.

Opt to eat fresh fruits instead of fruit Juice: Fruits have lots of fibers which are good for health, when you have fruit you consume natural sugar and also proteins. Juices have artificial flavors and color which should be avoided. Fresh fruits should be preferred over processed and canned fruits.

Hold that Snack: Junk food and snacks are less filling and contain a lot of fat and calories. So if you travel more and you want to grab a quick bite, have a fruit.

Burn the calories that you had a sweet tooth for: Keep track of the calories that most food items have labeled on the packaging. You know you have consumed more calories than you should have during the week, then make sure that you work off those extra calories by the end of the week.

Try baking instead of frying your food: Fried things are a big no-no. The more fried things that have, the more weight you will gain. Fried things are called so because they are fried in oil or fat. . Baking requires lesser oil or fat and is by far a healthier method of preparing food than frying.

Dance as if nobody is watching: Go back to the wild childhood memories. Close the door of your room, turn on your sound system to the highest volume and then do the wackiest dance that you can think of. Dancing is an excellent way to burn off calories. It is true.
